Christmas Party! Millitimed Vaguely to "Sometime Around Christmas"
Anne and Amy have been very very busy over the last week or so, transforming their usually simple white room into the perfect place for a Christmas party.
There are garlands of holly and balsam strung around the room, leading away from the wreath between the windows (and there's a grumpy looking crow, perched in the middle of the wreath, trying to figure out how to get the red ribbon from around his neck). A Christmas tree, candles ablaze, stands in one corner, with presents tucked under its branches.
Welcome, dear friend, to Anne and Amy's Christmas party.

Greet Anne
"Oh, do behave, Peter Aurelious," she tells the crow, who eyes her with one bright black eye.
"Qwa."
Do come say hello before she begins to scold him.

Re: Greet Anne
*Meg comes into the room, dressed in a blue gown from her own era, bustle and all (after all, you don't wear just a tutu to a party) and waves cheerfully at Anne with the hand that is not currently attached to Andrew, who comes in behind her.

She's blissfully unconcerned about the fact that she's not, technically speaking, invited to this particular party.
And look! Another redhead.
"Hello. I'm Trina Echolls, of course."

Re: Greet Anne [slowtime please!]
"Merry Christmas," Bran says, handing her the package. (It's a used copy of The Poems of Ossian, a little battered, but old enough that Anne can take it home with her without disturbing the course of literary history.)

"Hi Amy! I brought you a wreath! I decorated it all by myself!"
She hands Amy a medium-sized wreath festooned with ribbon, holly sprigs, and sparkly jewels in green and red.

Refreshments and Chatter
There is punch and there is mulled cider. And because this is Anne and Amy's party, there is tea.
Help yourself. And if you happen to arrive at the table at the same time as another guest, well, conversation is always lovely.

The Christmas Tree
There's also a small table nearby, which holds a small box of ornaments, as well as paper and ribbon and paste and glitter (of course), for those who prefer to make their own ornaments.
Help decorate the tree, or take the opportunity to exchange a present or two.
Re: The Christmas Tree
Specifically, last year's, because, well, it was rather dramatic, with his father being stabbed and all, but he's also thinking about this one. Mostly, he's thinking he should bail on Neptune, get the hell out of town...but there's that whole murder charge thing, and leaving town is frowned upon.
If he's lucky, he'll get to give it a miss with Millitime.
If he's not, maybe Dick will be up to wreaking havoc somewhere.
As it is, though, Christmas is not exactly the most wonderful time of the year for Logan Echolls.

Mistletoe
It seems to work just fine. Care to try your luck, if you meet another guest under its innocent greenery?
Re: Mistletoe
descend uponjoin the party. They've already made ample use of the sprig hanging from the ceiling between the living room and dining room in their own flat. But that doesn't mean much, really.
Mistletoe is meant to be used.
They move around the room, socializing, and Bernard stealthily manages to somehow maneuver his wife so that she's standing right under the bunch.
Cheeky bastard.
