Christmas Party! Millitimed Vaguely to "Sometime Around Christmas"
Anne and Amy have been very very busy over the last week or so, transforming their usually simple white room into the perfect place for a Christmas party.
There are garlands of holly and balsam strung around the room, leading away from the wreath between the windows (and there's a grumpy looking crow, perched in the middle of the wreath, trying to figure out how to get the red ribbon from around his neck). A Christmas tree, candles ablaze, stands in one corner, with presents tucked under its branches.
Welcome, dear friend, to Anne and Amy's Christmas party.

Were Amy to open her package, she would find gold Necklace bearing a small, gold Pegasus Charm.
On the front of the handmade card, Helen has drawn a candle wreath. Amy—I thought you might enjoy this! Happy Holidays! ~Helen
Helen grins. "So how have you been? It's been too long!"

Her grin is pure mischief. "I'm also terribly impatient," she says, laughing. "Shall we open them?"

She takes hold of her gift and looks to Amy. "Should we both go at them at once then?"

"One . . ."

She poises her hands on the wrapping of the gift.

And amid peals of giggles, the wrapping paper meets its demise.
"Oh, Helen, it's beautiful!"

Amy puts the necklace around her neck and beams. "How does it look?"

Which is very obvious, if you look around the room.

The squirrels, who had been creeping toward the tree again, look guilty and come back over to skitter around Amy's feet.
"Peter Aurelious is above it all, I think." She turns to look at the crow.
"Have you met the squirrels, Helen?"
They chatter a bit and hop closer. They're terrible, really, and will do just about anything for scritches and food.

"The grey one is Simon Perryvall, and the red is Mr. Pemberthy. Pet them or feed them and they're your friends for life, I'm afraid."
Amy's tone is very fond. She's rather proud of the squirrels. Most of the time.

"They're adorable, Amy!" she says, warmly, as she grins brightly.

"I should let you go mingle and have cookies and hang things on the tree," says Amy.
