Keep Meg & Amy From Cooking Party

There are streamers over the door and glitter is flung generously (if randomly) about over countertops. (To be on the safe side, the girls have used edible glitter, like that on the cookies they handed out as invitations.)

There are large signs posted above the stoves and ovens with picture of Meg and Amy and the words "NOT ALLOWED" in large and bright red letters below them.

It can only mean one thing.

There's a party in the kitchen, and someone has got to keep these girls from cooking.

"Oh," light begins to dawn, "so you want your friends to come in and cook for you! Oh I see," Gil shrugs. "No problem then, you and Meg are under strict instructions just to supervise then and I'll get on with the standard orders. I take it you've come to some arrangement with the Bar to fund the party? Not to be a party pooper but - well - it looks to me as though there's going to be massive wastage."

"Oh no worries," Gil says. "We'll work around you and if anyone is in the way I'll ask 'em to shift."

"Just one thing. Dr Lecter will be in later tonight to do his Saturday Special menu. He's brilliant, exacting, a perfectionist and likes things just so. I'd hate to have him resign on me." He smiles. "Have a nice party. I'd best get back to work."

"Festive?" Gil grins; another apron is always useful. "What have they got on them?"

"Whoa, yellow!!" Gil takes it from her with a grin and ties it on over the top of his blue and white striped one. "Excellent, I like tulips. They are very jolly flowers."

He looks around the kitchen at the array of coloured aprons and smiles.

They make the kitchen look jolly too - if a bit primary school.

"Ah, well. I'd better get on with my work," he says. "Have a good time supervising your guests."
