Phantasmorania, December 28
It's amazing, Amy thinks, how many people who had no time or interest or use for Phantasmorania's Ordinary Princess are anxious to talk to the future Queen of Ambergeldar. She's used to fading into the background, or slipping away all together, at Court Functions, rather than having to listen to a great deal of very very dull conversation. And four days into the twelve days of celebrations that mark Christmas, she's frankly losing patience with it.
She's supposed to be at a Christmas Tea, but she just can't face it quite yet. There are very places her mother wouldn't look for her, but she's fairly sure this is one of them. So she opens the door to the broom cupboard outside her room, and steps in. She just wants a moment to herself.
